Directions

  1. In a hot pan, add 30ml of olive oil and 450g of ground beef. Season the beef generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. Brown the beef on both sides, breaking it up with a whisk or spoon until fully cooked. Remove the browned beef from the pan and set aside.

  3. In the same pan, add 0.5 diced red onion and cook until softened.

  4. Add 7.5ml of minced garlic and 170g of tomato paste to the pan. Cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Season with more salt and 7.5ml of sugar.

  6. Pour in 470ml of water.

  7. Stir in 2.5ml of garlic powder, 2.5ml of dried parsley, 2.5ml of oregano, 1.25ml of cayenne pepper, and 1.25ml of cinnamon. Mix well.
